Is it ok to take about 2 vicodins at at time with,with effexor. i have severe back problems and i didnt tell my doctor that prescribed me effexor that i also take 2-4 vicodin a day.

The drug interaction checker here (there's a tab up top) had this to say:

hydrocodone and venlafaxine (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
