Default does anyone experience a high on suboxone?

    hello to all....
i have been meaning to ask this question for sometime now....i think i have read on a few other threads where people have reported actually feeling somewhat of a high feeling while on suboxone/subutex....moneychick, i think you maybe reported this, but i'm not sure....
anyway, i have noticed it sometimes, but only w/ my a.m. dose.....never in the p.m. tho'.....i sort of feel that old euphoria w/ an opiate, just less intense and it only lasts for about an hour.....even now at 4mgs, i can feel the a.m. dose....just wondering how this can be w/ all the blocking properties in the suboxone....does anyone else feel this or know why this might be true?....just curious and am still planning on sticking w/ roberts slow taper w/ the goal to be on and off as short as possible....however, i'm more scared about when i am done for good and never having this little euphoria feeling that got me into all this trouble to begin w/.....
does anyone have any thoughts on all this?
    peace, lilly

    Hi lilly
you know I have never taken the subs...But I do hang around here allot.
To some of the people it gives them a sense of well being...
To others it just makes then feel normal...
That is just my take on it or what I have seen..
    Talk to you later, Melinda

This feeling goes away as you start tapering. That is why it was important for me to begin attending meetings for support. What you are feeling is normal. As you taper you need to start preparing to be "really" clean.Good luck and congrats on your progress.MM

...Hey Lilly, I have felt a high from suboxone. I have only used them for short periods of time. Really it is hard to explain the feeling. Maybe it was because of such a short term with them. Its funny because I have read Robert tell people that you should not feel any high at all and feel completley normal of 4mg and somtimes higher. i took very small amounts of sub because at the time I was using small amounts of vics/loratabs. But even at a small amount of it I would feel a little high for a while kinda like the pain meds. But after a few hours I would feel almost sick. Like laid back in the body, but my mind would race like crazy. I could never sleep on it. I could only take it in the AM. 4mg would lay me out cold and im 200lbs. Ive read the subetex will take that feeling away. HaHa sorry I dont mean to freak anyone out who reads this. It probally just did not sit well with me. I know it works great for most people. And it defenitley takes away the w/d. Good luck.

    Ryan
