We've discussed this before. Suboxone has a half life of up to 72 hours. That is three days. Suit yourself if drinking is that important to you.

Are drugs your main problem or is it alcohol? God bless.

Default Omg no.

Do not drink while on subs. One or two is ok but my personal experience with it did not go well. The feeling of nausea and vomiting are increased rapidly. Also blurred vision and dizziness are magnified substantially. I believe it can disrupt your respiratory system and kill you as well. I drank two forty ounce bottles of colt 45 while using 16 mg of subs. Not the best idea. Learn from my mistakes.

yes you can drink on subs, moderation would be the key.
i am on 1.25mg, and i have a few beers after work, even same day ive had subs, no problem.

before anyone asks if i have an alcohol problem, i think a couple of drinks once or twice a week is not a problem.

I would like to say something about alcohol and drugs in general. First off, this DOES NOT apply to all so don't take it that way and I am in no way being judgmental. We are all different. But this is something I've seen often enough in my life to deem it worthy of mention. If you drink moderately in reasonable amounts, you can mix it with another drug with no ill effect. BUT... in my years of being on and off drugs of all kinds I've seen a troubling phenomenon where people get off opiates "successfully" only to substitute alcohol for their original DOC. I have actually seen people taper off methadone only to become hard core alcoholics in a very short time. I am not talking about the person who wants to know if its OK to have a few beers while on sub/methadone or whatever. I am just saying alcohol can be a very slippery slope for narcotics addicts. We are used to taking something to "feel better". We like our instant gratification. Alcohol can fit the bill. So I'm just saying we all need to be careful when it comes to drinking. Addicts are addicts are addicts.
