Hi all, here is the problem, my boyfriend has been doing the whole methadone clinic thing for about 2 1/2 months, his dose is somewhere around 100mg or a little more,I thoght he was doing good, but lately he has been being a real ass, he is fine during the day, he takes a nap, gets up and he is fine, but he'll go home for about an 1hr come back and he is kind of distant, sweating, extremely hyper loud and easily irritated. He started a fight with me again over baby formula, All I wanted to do was make a little bottle for our 8 month old son who was extremely tired, but he wanted to make a full bottle and run out to the car to get more formula to make more bottles for later, it was horrible he threw a hissy fit, yelling, cursing, throwing atttude around ridicuosly and then pretended that he did nothing. What is up? Is this normal? Do you think he may be using something?

Sounds fishy....obviously you think so too by the way you pointed out he was gone before the erratic behavior started.

Also seems like he really wanted an excuse to leave with the baby formula thing, huh?

I can't tell you -- he is for sure a liar and a drug addict -- but he's a drug addict...hopefully a recovering one.

Sounds like you need to assess the situation. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for the reply, any comments help. atleast I know I am not nuts. I spoke with his counselor about a week ago, just an informal meeting, she told me not to be the police, that if he wants to be clean, he'll get clean. ok, thats cool, I fully understand that, but I am in this with him, I can't just sit back and watch him destroy himself, or us, or our family, we have a baby together and my 5 year old, who he helps me raise. I know this is his addiction, but it is our problem, I love him to death.
