Question cafine, xzanax, ambian, DETOXING from, NORCOS

does xzanax, ambian or coffee or energy drinks (like red bull or rock star) make symtoms worse?

on day 13 of no pills, it seemed to be going pretty easy- up until the 8th day-- that s when my physical withdrawl symtoms started to go from bad to worse.

ever since then i have been having terrible anxiety, i am so restles and so tired i can barley lift my arms to write this. you know the sensation of licking a 9V battery? my whole body feels like that, all of the time!

i took some xzanax. it didn't help AT ALL in fact i felt like it got worse. i also took some abian hours later to help myself SLEEP. it didn't really wk.

i am trying to drink coffee or red bull to get my energy up. maybe it's making it worse?

again, does xzanax, ambian or coffee or energy drinks (like red bull or rock star) make symtoms worse? how much longer do i have of this? i have NO desire to take any pills i just feel like awful.

my dose: norcos since 2000.
as of 2004 my does was between 2-4 10mg norcos daily

If I were you I would stay away from any benzo and definately stay away from red bull and any of those so called energy drinks.
Whats wrong is your suffering from PAWS (Post Acute Withdrawl Syndrome). What happens is you stop taking the opiates but now there is nothing there to replace the opiate.Your brain is not getting enough endorphins so your not getting the release of dopamine to make you feel better.
You can start by eating a high protien diet as best you can.Start walking at least twice a day, once in the am and again after supper. This kind of exercise promotes endorphin production.Drink sport drinks like gatorade(red bull and those type of energy drinks have tons of caffine and gensing which is bad for you right now).Sport drinks replenish electrolytes which help us with energy.
TRy and exercise as much as you can by starting off slow and easy. This really helps.Once those endorphins get going then you will really start to feel better if not great....Good luck....Dave

If you drink alot of caffiene what could be happening is you're overdosing on it without being aware. Some people build up a tolerance. Redbull is not good for you. The sugary content and the sodium dehydrates you. I would drink some gatorade and eat a banana and maybe take a vitamin. If you need an energy kick its probably from the xanax and ambien which i know ambien on the commercial they say not to take unless you can commit to a full 8 hrs of sleep. drink a cup of orange juice something natural take a shower get some excercise and see if you feel better. :]

i drink about a 1/2 a cup a coffee and i have never really even finished a can of a red bull if and when i have one. i just was wondering if drinking caffine can inhance the symtoms of withdrawl? as far as the xnanex and ambian goes, i have taken 1/2 of pill maybe once a day over the last weeks to calm me down when i get major anxiety and the last two ngts i took a 1/2 of ambian.

Hey pony, how are you feeling these days? You should be nearing 1 month without Hydrocodone if my memory serves me correctly? How are you? Are you feeling better?

Benzo's are tranquilizers such as xanax, klonopin, valium etc...PAWS can last a long time(like 2 years or more) or less,or not even happen at all..It really depends on the person, how long and what they were addicted to to as well...

Unhappy I feel your pain!

I was on methadone for over 10 years. Managed to get myself down from 80mg to 15mg a day. At that point I went on Hydrocodone 10/500mg. Of course I didn't take it as directed. Now I have this huge problem just as bad a methadone. I am taking 4 to 5 10/500mg Hydros 4 to 5 times a day. Now my lower back is hurting me all the time. Kidney damage in my future. Whoo hoo.
What can I do?
I agree with other postings. Getting off this stuff is horrible!
Oh, and Doctor hopping is fun, espically with no insurance.

Go back on methadone is my sugggestion... Methadone is safer and is FOR addiction as you know.. You don't want a damaged liver like me, I was only on vidocin for 3 years, And it nearely killed my liver. I'm on methadone now, have been for 3 years, And it's the only med that's kept me out of withdrawls AND pills.

If I may ask, how many Vicodin do you take per day and which stength?

I am still taking Norco 10/325, as it has the least amount of acetaminophen (Tylenol). Vicodin is known to have extremely high amounts of acetaminophen. 10/660, or 7.5/750. Those are crazy amounts of Tylenol, which you are NOT supposed to take more than 2,000mg a day of.

Hi there. Are you still off the Hydrocodone? I have reduced mine, but I notice the difference. Oh man, what a mess. How are you feeling?
