I remember you very well - congratulations!
I know you stated that you are in CR - fantastic. I want to share my experience(s) from NA w/ you - just 2:
1) You have probably heard the motto "Stick and stay". I want to get real cliche' w/ you and reiterate - Stick and Stay with your CR group/family.
2) I have experience it many times in the rooms where this time in your recovery (and mine) is kinda a danger zone for us. We now have some decent clean time under our belts. We have built up our foundation, network, and new friendships. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen people w/ ~ 6 to 18 months let their guard down, and not stay vigilant. We BOTH don't want that mess again. Please treat every day in you recovery like it is your first.
Proud of you. Your post inspires me, and reminds me that I need to stay humble and surrender my will, every day.
Mottam, I will remember what you said I have a 30 year powerhouse sponsor and we communicate all the time right now. I have to be honest my 12 step has been brutal for me and without loving support I could not have come through it this far. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and keep looking up And pray for rain lol
Hi Mom, the pain has been totally manageable, in fact as I get stronger spiritually alot of it kind of works itself out. Amazing how that can happen. I have a very strong suspicion that much of our issues physically are related to emotional pain and spiritual issues seeing that I can dance again and my singing voice is slowly getting better. Dancing I could not do even on opiates so that is huge! Thank you for thinking of me and your prayers through the time we first encountered each other here
