Manufactured by Sandoz, the muscle relaxer (non-scheduled) Skelaxin is available in its generic form, metaxalone 800mg tablets. Approved in late March 2010, it is now widely carried by pharmacies.

It is in fact now made in generic and I know so because I just got a script and when I took in my script they said that they no longer make the 400mg and gave me the 800mg and told me to take half of the 800mg.It said on the bottle metalaxone.Which is generic for skelexan.

I know! I take it and it is (or was) EXPENSIVE!!!

I think I'll keep up a list of newly approved generics. I'll update the list few couple months.
