Default Nucynta?

I was at the dr last week and he mentioned a new drug called Nucynta. He said it is comparable to oxycodone for pain relief but doesnt have the constipation or "addictive" side effects. This "less addictive" property reminds me of what was said about Tramadol and we have seen how addictive this drug is.

I have not heard of this drug before now. Have any of you heard anything or better yet had experience with it?

Thanks,
Klopper

Hi Klopper .... this was a new one for me. I don't get a pain med often that I'm not familiar with. But I just did a check on it and IT IS A NARCOTIC pain reliever. And it is addictive.

Upsets me when drs say something isn't addictive when the information says plain and simple that it's an addictive narcotic medication and it compares it to morphine. That is a narcotic for sure. Here is the drugs.com link for it. Hope this helps even though I can't tell you that I've personally used it. God bless.

I am really surprized no other posters have posted on the topic of nucynta on this forum.

Most of what I have read about Nucynta is negative...causes headaches, is weak,etc...

that's my 22 cents
