I'm felling pretty sick with a head cold and I'm finding it hard to sleep. If i take a valium to help me get a good rest will i wake up feeling better or worse? Dose valium have a negative effect on the iummune system?

The valium will probably help you sleep because it has a sedative effect on the body inducing sleep in most people. It will not get rid of your cold symptoms and will not affect your immune system. Bottom line, the only thing it will do is help you sleep. I suggest taking something over the counter to get rid of your cold instead. But if you take medicines such as nyquill be careful mixing the valium and the alcohol the nyquill has, it could cause unwanted side effects...
