Default Vicodin + Darvocet?

Okay, I am 27 years old and have bad knees. I have had both of them scoped already (the left one twice now). I take Darvocet for the pain that still occurs in my knees.

Yesterday I strained my neck muscle and possibly caused some nerve damage. The doctor put me on Flexeril and Vicodin (and Motrin).

Is it safe to take my Vicodin, Flexeril, AND Darvocet together? I don't think that the Vicodin is strong enough to alleviate the pain in my knees. I have to take 2 of them to stop my neck from hurting (along with a Flexeril). My Darvocets are 800mg (I think).

Any help would be appreciated.

What you should do is call your doctor and tell him they're not cutting the pain, there's a reason for this.
Darvocet is useless, and you don't need the extra apap, it's probably safe, but you need a doctor to tell you it's okay.
BTW, you darvocet is probably 100/650mg, plus you're taking two Vicodin which are probably 500mg of apap each, that's too much apap to take at once, keep it under 4000mgs per day, or it can become toxic to your liver.

Cat is right about the acetaminophen that you are probably taking with all the Darvocets and Vicodin. You just need a bigger dose of the hydrocodone and no Darvocet. I have had 5 knee scopes and all kinds of sports injuries. Darvocets don't really do anything for that type of acute pain. They are worthless. You would be better off taking 10/500 Lortabs, forget the Darvocets and take the flexeril for the muscle spasms in your neck. You can take up to eight of the Lortabs in a day and still stay at 4000mg of acetaminophen. You will get a lot more pain relief that way with less potential side effects. The Motrin is good for the long term as it's a great anti-inflammatory. I take 800mg three times daily for my knees and back. Good luck.
