she prescribed me trazodone 50mg to take before bedtime
i took one the first night, didnt get much sleep
because i felt really dizzy and want to puke
then the next day i keep getting panic attack
i'm not sure if it was the trazodone

Default Trazodone Experience

Well, I was prescribed 100mg of Trazodone, and was told to take it "as needed"....and, mind you, I also take Abilify and Lexapro for manic depression/schizoaffective. Anyways, I immediately noticed an increase in appetite, weight gain (20lbs), increased sex drive and constant daytime drowsiness. I decided to stop taking it, because I couldn't afford the weight gain, and I experienced some bizarre symptoms: hypo-mania, bizarre dreams, more intense insomnia, some panic, some depression and a missed period. Needless to say, if I have trouble sleeping, I'd rather take two Tylenol PM's than ever touch the stuff again. Terrible withdrawls. Flatulence, constipation...you name it!!!!

Hang in there. Your system will gradually accomodate itself. Nausea is not uncommon. Take with food. Once acclimated, you'll have a great sleep.
