Default tic disorder

Hi,
I have been dealing with an eye squinting and urge to close my eyes for a long time. I have been evaluated by numerous neurologists and also in the psychiatry field. The diagnosis are different from each. Most do however state that my problem is more of a tic related disorder. I have tried numerous ssri's, tricyclics, along with tenex, clonodine, and anti convulsants. Nothing really gets rid of or consitantly relieves this issue. I even looked into botox shots to relieve the urge in the eye muscles but only developed blurred vision. The latest referral is for either Effexor XR or try one of the Neuroleptics. The Neuroleptics have been noted to cause possible worse permanent problems with tardive dysknesia (muscle movements that don't go away). Any ideas for this issue. If it is anxiety, I have been on numerous medications for that along with therapy. The neurologist all states that it isn't a Dystonia (involuntary movement disease or disorder). It is still a chronic problem that now is worse due to the number of different specialsts all recommending different treatments and nothing really helping. Thank you

Steve C

I am not a doctor and this is not a doctors guide to health. The info contained may not be correct but to the best of my knowledge it is correct.
