I have asthma and my doctor recommended I begin Singulair treatment.
He said the product is very good but I have some concerns. Could it cause liver damage? I would appreciate any information regarding Singulair. Thanks .

Singulair can cause liver damage, but this side effect is rare. If a patient has preexisting liver problems that are not severe, I would usually still feel comfortable prescribing Singulair if I thought the patient could benefit from the medication. I have not had any patients to whom I prescribed Singulair develop liver disease. Talk with your doctor about your concerns.
