My doctor gave me Biaxin XL FilmTab extended release tablets and I forgot to ask at the time. Without having to wait to call, I was wondering if someone on here might know. I'm supposed to take two once a day. If I break the pills in half, would it still work or would it hurt me in anyway? I can't seem to get big pills like that down and I always mean to ask them about liquids or those soft pills that slide down. I can't swallow them and I'm not sure what to do if I can't break them in half.

I just notice this is an older post, but I'll give you an answer anyways.....when in doubt call the Pharmacy!!!! they have some cutting shears made to cut pills in half.
