Default Question about Adderall

I have been reading articles on the side effects of Adderall and I am very concerned. I have a 12 year old son (6th grade) who has been taking Adderall since he was 7 (2nd grade). He only takes it Monday - Friday while going to school. I never give it to him on the weekends or during the summer months. I was not aware of this drug being so dangerous. He has had the headaches and sometimes dizziness. I didn't know that it was something you could get addicted to. He seems to be just fine. I am worried though.

Gina,
You have every reason to be concerned. How many miligrams does your son take? Adderall is an amphetamine and is highly addictive. My son was put on ritilan just long enough to make the transition from elementary school to junior high school. It did help, but we took no chances on letting this drug become a crutch to help my son behave himself. The types of drugs are used way to often when it really isn't neccessary.
