Yes, they taste sweet. Check this site out, it has the info I think you're asking about.

Doesn't surprise me that this link Cats gave you is the exact same link I was going to post. This is the very best place on the net to find info about all benzos.

To answer your question the main difference in benzos is simply whether they are fast acting or not. Xanax is good for acute panic attacks, it acts very quickly and leaves our bodies very quickly (half life approx 6-12 hrs). Ativan is fairly quick acting as well (10-20 hrs). Klonopin has a long half life (18-50 hrs) and is used more than the others for ongoing chronic general anxiety disorder. Valium has even a longer half life, the longest of all benzos. Some drs say up to 200 hrs in some cases.

I wanted you to notice one particular thing on the specific page that will come up on the above referenced link. There is info at the top of the page that mentions Dr Helen Ashton. She is a dr in UK who authored The Ashton Manual. You can even do a Google search on The Ashton Manual and it will come up as well.

You didn't mention the dose of klonopin, ativan or xanax you had been taking or the amount of time you have been taking these medications. I know it really isn't my business. I was badly addicted to benzos for years. They are so dangerous. I hate to see anyone go to the place I ended up at. Enough preaching for now ...

Back to the link that Cats gave you and Dr Ashton. Please do some reading in the Ashton Manual about what the dr has to say about benzo use. She is one of the foremost authorities on the subject anywhere. God bless.
