Hello, my name is John and I've been taking 16mg suboxone a day for two months for opiate maintenance. I was addicted to pain pills of all shapes and sizes for about two years before that. Today I found five Hydrocodone 7.5/500 pills, and I was an idiot and took two and a half (18.25mg)@ 11:00 am and the same dose again @ 8:00pm. I felt nothing, and feel like an ass and just want to resume my suboxone therapy. When will I be safe to take my next dosage?? Please, the sooner the better. Thank you in advance..

Addicts do dumb things. I have done them too. Past is past, nothing you can do about it now except don't do it again. This should show you that addiction is real. When you get off the Suboxone in the future, remember this because you are obviously prone to relapse. I know I am and I have relapsed in the past. You have to really concentrate on this. And you now see that taking hydro with Suboxone does not work. You won't get high off the hydro and are wasting your money.

I'm not sure about the exact time for taking Suboxone again. If you do it and you get sick, you will know it was too soon. It possibly won't make you sick just from one screw up. Not sure. Only one way to find out. If you do get sick, then I would skip a day before taking the Suboxone again, if not a full day, at least the biggest part of a day. Good luck and stay focused!!!
