    Default Pharmacy mistake

I was dispensed more pills than what was on prescription. Will this mistake be noticed by pharmacy? Have no idea how this happened but was a pretty gross error on their part.

That happened to me once. I took the extra back and they said we might as well keep them since they would have to throw them out anyway.

Very unlikely unless it's a very uncommon drug, even then it's their loss and they won't follow up on it.

some places just have no idea of how important such a mistake can be.

It's not just the oversupply that's a problem, though that's big enough, what if you have a large prescription which is under filled, but you don't realise until a week or so later?

If you go back then and tell them they got it wrong you'll look like you're trying to get extra meds for free. Either that or they'll be suspicious that you have been selling your meds to others.

People need to take a little more accountability.
