Default Old Methadose 10 instead of NORCO ?

Hi,

I take norco 10/325 2 at a time 2 times a day. Sometimes 3 times a day if its a bad pain day. I have back and knee pain from many accidents.

Well. I ran out of the NORCO and cannot get in to see the doc for another day or two. I do have (2) old Methadose 10 tablets that were given to me 2years ago to try and I never did. Can I use them now to make it through the next day or two before I get more NORCO? Are they too old? Too strong compared to the norco?

Help

TOM

Hi, I'm new here so I hope this answer comes through ok. You may want to call your pharmacist and ask your question. Also, perhaps the pharmacist can call your dr.'s office and ask permission to give you enough pills to get you through until the dr. returns, if he needs something in writing, maybe the dr.'s staff can write it out for you for a couple of days supply. Good luck!

Exclamation old methadose/methadone prescriptions

(EVERYBODY SHOULD READ THIS EYE OPENER FOR REAL) i had asked my doctor a while back and told him i had a prescription that was a little past the one year date and asked him how old is too old because the prescription was very expensive and he asked me where i stored them and i told him in a cabinet in my kitchen and he asked how close to the stove. i told him across the room from the heat and he told me quote im not allowed to tell you its ok to still take them but if they are stored as directed and the pills werent soft from moisture if it was him he wouldnt be affraid to take them 3 or 4 years after the fill date. he said tablets, capsules etc. stored properly do not lose strength or turn to poison or anything like that.he said by law he has to recomend against it but personally if the medicine is in perfect shape he would save the money instead of throwing them away and paying for new ones.... just inspect them and make sure they are in good shape and another thing he told me is that one of the worst places to keep your prescriptions is in a medicine cabinet in the bathroom where it fills up with steem or over a sink where it is close enough to absorb steam.. . kinda makes you wonder why medicine cabinets are usually in the worst possible place in a house...
