My doctor just prescribed metroprolol (Toprol?) for my SVT and hard heartbeat. I was taking lanoxin but it seemed to stop working as I was getting frequent svt episodes again. I started taking toprol a week ago. I've been getting pressure type headaches and wondered if this was a normal side effect. Anyone else familar with this medication? I've just been feeling different since I started taking this med. Thanks

headaches are a common side effect. especially if there are large changes in your blood pressure. as your body adjusts to the meds it may go away ,if it doesn't go away within a week talk to the doc
