    Default Lexapro Weight Gain

I was on Lexapro 20 mg for a year and a half. When I started the Lexapro I weighed 120 pounds. (I am 5'5)
I did not change my diet or exercise and gained 30 pounds.
It did not make me crave food. I was depressed about the weight gain and started working out even more and did not see results.
I quit taking the Lexapro a week ago and am hoping to see results soon.
Have any of you had these similiar problems? If so, how long did it take for your metabolism to go back to normal?

    Thanks.

I've been taking Lexapro for approx. three years and it has not changed my weight in anyway. I imagine it works differently on each person. Although, I have a question, "Have you had any side effects coming off of Lexapro?" (example: sad, crying, mad, moody)

    Default Lexapro Weight Gain Too

I to had the weight gain on Lexapro. The dr. started me on 10mg at which time I really didn't notice much except that I was getting thicker in the middle. They switched me 20mg and it really became a problem. I've gained approx. 30lbs as well and am having a difficult time loosing it. I stopped the medication about 4 weeks ago and still haven't noticed much difference despite being a lifetime weight watcher and "organic" junky. I've increased my working out to an hour of cardio a day and see a very small improvement. If anyone has any suggestions on getting the metabolism back to norm, PLEASE PASS IT ON!

They put me on Lexapro for a bit until they said my insurance wouldnt cover it which didnt bother me any because i didnt like the medication at all. My brother got really addicted to it also. I dont have any good feelings for it.
