I just moved to california about a month ago and went to see a doctor to get my prescriptions renewed. It was the first time i went to this doctor so they asked all the usual questions and when asked if i smoked marijuana i said yes (not knowing telling the truth was a bad idea) and later when the doctor was giving me my prescriptions he wouldn't refill my codiene prescription because it is a narcotic and aparently by law a doctor can't give a patient that smokes marijuana narcotics. So im wondering if i were to just go to another doctor and not tell them i smoke marijuana would they fill the prescription? Or since i told the doctor i went to is that going to be on my medical record following me forever? And i am also fairly sure the doctor said patients that are "currently smoking marijuana" so does that mean if i were to quit i could somehow prove that to them and i could get it back?
