Question Jaw pain while on Suboxone and need a medicine

Hi my name is Alex and I am new to this site and this is my first post. I am pretty excited to read what people have to say and learn new things.

My problem is this though. I have a jaw problem where it is not aligned right and it causes me not severe, but moderate pain. I cannot open my mouth all the way and eating hurts. People have suggested I grind my teeth at night, but I can't see how that can be because the morning when I wake up is the only time my jaw does not hurt.

I take 8mg of suboxone twice a day because of my oxy addiction, which means I will not be allowed to have any opiate medication because suboxone will block it and it goes against the program of fighting my addiction. The doctor suggested 800mgs of ibuprofen, but that doesn't take any of the pain away. So I was hoping someone here had some suggestions on a medication or a technique as surgery is too expensive right now. I was thinking tramadol because I read somewhere that it's the only semi-narcotic to not be affected by suboxone. I know it is an opioid, but a very weak one and would cause no euphoria and my main goal is really to take this awful pain away. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time and patience and I hope to learn a lot from everyone here in the future

Don't try the Tramadol, instead ask for a bump in your SubO, it'll help with the pain more then anything else. You also need to see a doctor and find out the cause, you need to stop self-medicating, that's why your on Sub.
