Default HELP with Iron Pills

My wife is taking Slow FE Iron pills distributed by Novartis. Its a slow release pill and I was wondering how long it takes to release (160 mg) Reason I'm asking is because she takes other supplements and I know that they can block iron absorbtion. Since she is pregnant I know that the iron is very important. Anyone know

Different supplements may have interaction with absorption of iron, e.g. vitamin C increases the absorption while zinc reduce its absorption.

This pill is for once daily dosing, its release lasts for at least 24 hours. The pill works by releasing a small amount of drug per time over an extended period, even if the supplement you are taking may have certain amount of interaction with it, the degree of reduction in absorption will not be significant as long as the supplement you are taking is not in an extended-released form.

Hope this could help.
