Health Insurance Help I'm 23, currently unemployed/not in school (atm). My mother, whom had my health insurance, which was, as my father said, the Cadillac of policies. They'd pay for everything and anything. Any doctor, (Chiropractor/Counselor included) was $10 total. They'd pay for as many, pay for whatever and anything.
Anyway, my mom passed away and now I have to pay for my own health care. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO of Michigan atm. Same insurance company because BCBS said they could give me a discounted policy due to me previously being a BCBS member. The only reason I wanted to stay on BCBS was that they'd pay for my Gastricbypass Surgery. Now that I've gotten that out of the way (which was $54k btw. XD) and I've done every type of injection for my back (which they'd pay for) known to man, I'd like one more focused on prescription/doctor visits. Since the only way to actually get my meds is to go to a doctor, I need to go once a month and my script is around $120/month. It's starting to add up. I'm presently paying $2k/year. Anybody got advice for another type of insurance? I'm presently in GA but my dad is paying for my insurance 'cause I've got a home in MI. |
