    Default generic hydrocodone tolerance

I have been on high generic lortab doses for several years now. Spinal cord injury, several surgeries, bone spinal fusion, now feel like frankenstein with all the titanium plates and bolts. Anyway, the meds just dont' help anymore, I am in constant pain and still working 60+ hours a week in a hard factory. Cant' take it much more. Was wondering if changing to a different generic brand would help. My doc has raised me to the limit on lortab, and I hate to ask for more due to the problems with addicts and abusers. Every other doc wants to put me on methadone (synthetic heroin), I don't want any hard drugs. lortab is hard enough, though some say it is not that strong. Too much of anything is bad. I have been taking Watsons, are any others really different? I have had docs tell me generics can be different even though there are gov't standards. Any suggestions? Still hanging in here, but hurting bad. No more surgeries, one was a failure (bone fusion collapsed) and even the "success" left me in more pain than I can explain. Thanks.
