For the last year and a half I have had a below normal blood calcim level, and the last visit just fell within normal. I also get heartburn. I have discussed this with my doctor but she said to wait till next visit in six months. I have stopped taking the Fosamax because of my concerns, but have started taking powder calcium from the natural health store. I am not even scheduled for another bone density scan until another year. My last one was one year ago. I have osteoporosis for at least 10 years partly due to prednisone.

Can anyone offer there opinion regarding this matter.
