Hi everyone. I figured this would be the place to ask this.
My doctor that I have had for my entire life (36 yrs) finally retired this week.
Now I need to find another doctor. He was very liberal and understood the pain thing. Other doctors are different....you need to have body parts falling off before they will prescripe opiate pain killers.

Is there a site to help search for a doctor that will be as liberal? Sort of like the whole 1-800 Dentist thing ? ? ? Please help. It will be greatly appreciated.

Never heard of any service like that..The best thing you can do is ask friends and family about their Dr.s...OR just go to a pain managment DR. tell him/her what you have been on,your pain problems and let that Dr. take care of it since afterall pain is their job...Good luck!

When i had a c-section with my son, they said rate your pain on a scale of 1-10, i said my pain is a 9. The nurse came back in got on to me and said if your pain is a 9 that means your in so much pain your arm is falling off.... Well okay then thats how much pain im in...

Your right, its hard to find Doctors & Nurses anymore who understand they just look at everyone as being "junkies". They give the stuff to the ones who really dont need it and then ignore the people who really do. Its sad, i've seen it happen way to many times... It's just my personal opinion, good luck on finding a doc it may take many many many tires...
