Default Fentanyl

Im wanting to know how long you have to take Fentanyl to start having withdraws if i stopped? My doctor prescribed me the 50mcg patch in May.There was 10 total in that script.I had them filled again a few days ago and after reading everyones horror stories ive decided to stop taking it.I have used 2 more patches this month already. So ive taken them for about 6 weeks total now.I have used exactly 12 patches total.Do i have a long road ahead of me now?Im scared to death! If anyone could let me know something i would greatly appreciate or welcome any answers.

You should be fine! You certainly weren't using them chronically.I would think you may have a couple days at worst were you may feel off. After 6 weeks you shouldn't have withdrawls at least nothing major.
The horror stories you're referring to are from people who have been taking opiates for many years or abusing which makes withdrawls really bad.
Anyway, keep us informed on how your doing.....Good luck.......Dave

charles . . . hang in there. This won't last that long. Use Immodium if diarrhea hits. Will help the stomach if you need it. Get past this and the surgery recovery will go so much better. The meds will be more effective and you will be able to stop not long after the surgery. It will be a critical time for you in trying to stay clean though. Stay focused, keep posting. It will help. Good luck.
