    Default Ear drops in Eye?

I was given Neomycin/Poly-B, Hydrocortisone Otic solution accidently and was told to use it for a possible eye infection and when I put it in my eyes burned and I went back to the doctor and they rinsed my eyes out and told me that was all that needed to be done. I have looked for information to see what if any complications could I expect from the few drops I put in my eyes and what is the appropriate procedure for these types of accidents. I would appreciate any answers, Thank You.

No complications really, continued use may have caused problems, but they really are similar to eye drops, just not as gentle.

They did the right thing by rinsing the eyes.

This happened to my DH once when he went to the emergency room, when something at work flew in his eye. He couldn't figure out why the drops hurt so much, then I got curious and read the label.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
