drug recovery Personally, I haven't had to deal with anyone who was a drug addict, but I can only imagine what it can do to a family. The only thing that gets to me are healthy babies being born to drug addicted mothers (however I wish every child is born healthy) and mothers who do everything right by their child have some kind of birthing issues. Take me for example, I did everything I was suppose to do while pregnant and both of my children were born with low birth weight or prematurely my oldest was 3lbs4oz and my youngest was 4lbs12oz (which is a much better weight). I went to every appointment, ate right, took my vitamins, exercised and still had issues where I had to get steroid shots to develope their lungs because they would be born early. So to anyone that have family members who are drug addicts and pregnant, please for the childs sakes give them a chance to live.go to Drug abuse treatment center and get drug rehab treatment. -
Crazy,
I'm sorry to hear about your problems with pregnancy. What exactly is your point. It's disturbing how you use the term "drug addict". If you never had a problem with addiction or known a family member with addiction I think you have very little to say. Most people do not start out saying to themselves that I am going to be addicted to drugs. In fact, a majority of people become addicted to medication because their doctors prescribe them the medication. I became addicted to opiate medications because of chronic pain. Now i have been off the medication for over 5 months. But it was my choice to get on and off the medication. However, there are individuals who cannot function without pain medication. Are they drug addicts? Man, it is so easy to categorize people in nice little pigeon holes. It is a quality of life issue. I made a decision to live with the pain. Check out my thread and replies to get specifics. I don't think your comments are helpful. But what do I know I am just a junkie or "drug addict", right! God Bless
