My Aunt is currently prescribed the following drugs:
Nortriptyline, Butal,
Klonopin, Darvocet, and Skalaxin in addition to her regular meds for high blood pressure and COPD. These were all prescribed to her by her podiatrist. She has some nerve damage in her feel, but I don't understand why he would prescribe Nortriptyline, butal, and klonopin for that. Also my Aunt is a known abuser of prescription drugs. It appears to me after reading the drug information for those drugs that her "foot" doctor is facilitating her addiction. Her ex-husband has reported the doctor for overprescribing loratab to her in the past.
My question is what if any benefit do these drugs have for problems with the feel. The only two drugs that make any sense to me are the Skalaxin which is a muscle relaxer and the Darvocet if it were prescribed to be taken as needed.
Thank yoy
