Question Dosage Change Results in Huge Price Change

I lowered my daily dosage of Buproprion XL from 450 mg to 300 mg ... a 33% decrease. This change resulted in a price drop from $177 to $60 ... a 67% decrease. This is good for my wallet, but insane for the drug company. Does anyone have an explanation for why a modest change in dosage results in a huge change in price? (Same thing happens for the brand name ... Wellbutrin XL).
