Default Didrex vs generic benzphetamine hcl

I am wondering if anyone out there has taken both brand name Didrex and the generic, benzphetamine. I am about to try this so I called Walmart and the brand drug is $160.00 and the generic is $45.00 both for a quantity of ninety 50mg tablets.

With this huge price difference, it seems that there must be some kind of vast differences in the medicines too, such as effect or quality of ingredients. If the generic works just as well, then I would use it but I don't want to pay for anything if it isn't gonna work well. Although expensive, I would pay the extra $120 or so to be sure of better results thru decreased appetite and more energy.

Thanks in advance.

You cannot take Didrex if you

have heart disease or high blood pressure;

have arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries);

have glaucoma

have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), or phenelzine (Nardil) in the last 14 days; or
*

have a history of drug or alcohol abuse.

Didrex Uses?
Didrex is an appetite suppressant used along with diet, exercise, and behavior therapy for the short-term management of weight loss and obesity.

I think Didrex is better to use than benzphetamine hcl bevause I've heard it has a lot of side effects.

If you are allergic with didrex, stop using it and go to your doctor..
