Default Clogged Arteries and possible tumors

    Hello Everyone,

I don't know if this is the right board for this question, or even if there is a right Board here. If it isn't, and someone can point me in the right way, please do.

There is a woman I've known for 42 years. We were HS sweethearts and stayed in touch. Things haven't always been easy, but she never did this without a good reason before. This friend of mine has epilepsy, and recently she told me she has what may be 2 masses in her abdomen. She also told me she has a blockage in 1 or both Caroid arteries. That was 2 weeks ago. After telling me this, she stopped speaking to me, and for no reason. I admit her epilepsy causes her to behave oddly at times. But this is too weird even for her. I'm actually very close to this woman, and I'm very worried about her.

Unfortunately, I don't know the percentage of blockage, nor do I know if the things in her abdomen are cysts, tumors, or even a false positive.

If my friend wasn't getting enough of a blood flow in her brain, is this how she might behave? What she is doing makes no sense at all. We didn't have a fight. She isn't married nor does she have a BF. Does anyone have experience with how a person might behave with low blood to the brain?

    I have no idea.

I would start with an internist, who'll point you to the right specialist. Be it a neurologist, psychiatrist or whatever...

    I wish you all well.
I'll keep you in my prayers,
    Peter

I think you should seek her out, maybe she is seriously scared about her condition and she has lost faith in trying to battle her state of health. Sometimes, when people have been sick for a long time, they just feel like giving up. It would make you both feel better if you talk about it, you have to find a way to convince her to get medical attention.
