Default Bird flu danger in the U.K

I am a resident of U.K. Have hears of the bird flu dangers in Asia. Someone told me that my part of the world i.e. U.K is also at risk of being affected by the Bird Flu. Is this true?

Ya there is some talk of the bird flu spreading into the U.k as well. I came across this article 'Bird Flu Alarm in the U.K'. It states that the Bird Flu may account for over 50,000 British people unless proper anticipatory preventive measures are taken in time.
