I've recently been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Am now checking all my prescriptions to make sure I'm not getting any gluten. Went to Walgreens where I get my prescription filled and the pharmacist couldn't find an ingredients list for my pill. She said to check with my doctor. The run around. Can someone tell me where to get an ingredients list for the Aviane birth control pill?

As far as I know, the only gluten-free birth control is Alesse. Most bcs have modified food/corn/tapioca starch or a gluten-containing coating. If you are gluten-intolerant and not celiac, the starch containing bcs might be ok. I have NOT found a gluten-free casein-free birth control pill and am currently using the Nuva Ring which I absolutely LOVE. Good luck!
