Hello all I wanted to check to see if any one could help me with this I am currently taking ambien 10mg and sometimes the 12.5.My problem is when I actually take the ambien its fine it puts me to sleep and really has no bad effects the problem is the next day.The last few days i notice im very groggy and disoriented they next morning almost like ive been drinking.Then comes the bad part i have started having very bad anxiety attacks and just plain not feeling well this will usually last for two to three hours.I was just wondering does any one else have these effects the next day with ambien.Also im not mixing nor do i take anything else but ambien.please any help would be appreciated i feel like im going crazy

I have tried Ambien for 5 days. The first night I fell right to sleep on 10 mg. Since the first night I have slept very little. I have taken 10 mg and sleep for a couple of hours and then take 5 mg and sleep for another two hours. it is now 4Am and I am still awake. What is the problem? I am alert and never groggy. I just can't sleep. I am on a decongestant but it seems that whatever sleep aide I take, I can't sleep. Thank God I am now retired. I have done all the sleep therapy steps and they do not help. I think I will try one melatonon and one benadryl as someone said. I have tried each alone, but to no avail. It usually takes a great deal of medication to cure any problems I may have. For example, I gave been given vicodin and percocet for dental procedures and my pain was still there. Luckily, I am healthy now, except for the insomnia. I have had a psych work up and no problems.
