Default Aldara (imiquimod) side effects

I have been having regular surgery for removal of sBCC (Basal Cell Carcinoma's) for about twelve years. Aldara has recently been approved to prevent development of the sBCC in their early stages. I had about 40 so called "sun spots" which were identified for treatment with Aldara. A decision was made to treat half of these as a first phase. Sixteen reacted to the Aldara. See www.JarrahBark.com for description and photographs.

Probably because of the large amount of Aldara applied I quickly developed a number of side effects including headache, energy loss and nausea. In the first week of treatment I also contracted a sever sinus infection in the right sinus. Symptons included a foul smell and taste.

The infection did not respond to a three week course of Augmentin but now seems to be fading with Tetracycline after only a few days. The infection is now in its seventh week.

Has anybody else suffered possible side effects to Aldara that have not been already identified by its use for genital warts?

Regards

John Macmahon
