Hi all, I just thought I would ask another question since having the chest port fitted yesterday. I am so surprised how uncomfortable I am today, I guess I was expecting some discomfort, but not to this extent. The surgery was supposed to take 30 minutes, but it took 2 1/2 hours, and instead of having one incision I have two. One on my neck and the one which is where I am getting the most pain and discomfort, and the second which is the larger of the two incisions and where the port was placed, which is just past my armpit. I was given Vicodin tablets to take for the pain and they are not working, they just make my skin itch really bad and there are no hives.
So has anyone gone through this and have any advice, I would love to hear from you.
