Does anyone out there Know if this combination of meds, or either one by itsself could cause hair loss? My once very thick head of hair has slowly been thinning since starting these medications eight months ago.I could assosociate the hair loss with a poor diet because i have lost about 35 pounds.These medications are taken for treating adhd and i love them.I have become a whole new person because of them and would hate to find out they are causing my hair loss. Please let me Know if you have had a similar experience and what you did to resolve. THANK YOU!!!

I don't know very much about Ritalin, but I know Adderall contains amphetamine-dextroamphetamine salts whose chemical structures are similar to methamphetamine, which is notorious for hair loss, weight loss, insomnia, restlessness, tremors, irritability, anxiousness, and even teeth loss at high doses. It's a very damaging chemical to expose your body to for several years, no matter what a doctor prescribes. A resourceful doctor will not prescribe Adderall for that long to anyone. It's some dangerous substance.
