After 2 days on the medicine Clarithromycin 500mg. should my husband still be coughing as much as he is? His ribcage area is sore from coughing and he hasn't much appetite. Is this a normal reaction to the meds given him for Acute Bronchitis? Lab work was ok as was his x-ray. Temp. is down. Would like to know if this all sounds like normal before I over-react and take him back to the doctor? Please help. We are in the UAE. We moved here 6 weeks ago and find that drugs back home the US are more readily disbursed than here. His cough syrup here is herbal and not strong like what we can get at home-therefore, it has not helped... ADVICE PLEASE
