Default Xanax withdrawls

I was on 2mg xanax 3 times a day for GAD (anxiety disorder) for almost 3 years. Suddenly with NO warning my doctor took me off the medication completely. He was having problems with OTHER patients abusing benzos. This is my 4th day with no meds and I feel like hell. I am so shaky I cannot even hold a cup of coffee without spilling it. I am so pissed at my doctor. Anyone have any remedies for me? Thanks.

I can not believe your doctor would suddenly just take you off Xanex. It is extremely addictive, and coming off it one may experience lethal seizures, it is very important you talk to your doctor about his decision to take you off. Xanex and other benzos are some of the most addictive drugs and no doubt can induce the most dangerous withdrawls. Please call a doctor right away, for it is not safe to just STOP a benzo.

Default See another doc

I also was on Xanax and taken off cold turkey by a very ignorant doctor. I ended up hospitalized with seizures among other things. See another doctor and get back on the Xanax and wean off slowly. Your doctor must be buddies with my old doctor.
