Default Xanax Addiction?

Hey everyone.. this is my first time posting. I've been prescribed to Xanax for about two.. almost three years now for my anxiety. As I've gotten older, I've learned from my anxiety and know how to control it but sometimes it just gets so bad I can't control it and need a xanax. I'm also on Effexor which I take daily and has helped immensely.. I can't remember the last time I had an actual panic attack. A week ago or so I was taking xanax nightly.. probably three nights in a row and then maybe a night or two after that I took it so I could sleep. I noticed by the last night of the repetition, I was getting immune to it. I take 1mg. I could notice this because it had happened to me a year or so ago when I wasn't on an anti-depressant. I stopped immediately but ever since then I've been having troubles sleeping. I took one last night to help me sleep and it took longer than usual to work. This makes me nervous. I have been having trouble sleeping since and I feel like it's the only way that will give me a good, full night of sleep.

I wonder if this is just me being overly-paranoid and worried about it or if I should seriously cut back and just chill out on it. It's hard though, I keep waking up at night and it takes me FOREVER to fall asleep now. Should I look into maybe an actual sleeping pill to help for a bit? I've used ambien once and.. well, that was definitely a trip. I was sick at the time and couldn't sleep so I was up while it was in my system. What are your guys' thoughts.. any help would be great. Thanks!

Try using Sonota, worked wonders for me...acts quick, but you are not drowsy or groggy in the am.
