Default When will I be back... what has Lexapro done?!

Hi everyone. My name is Nicole and I'm a 37 year old female that was put on Lexapro because of anxiety related to my multiple sclerosis. Before the medicine, I was so thin that I couldn't gain weight if I tried. I realize that some weight was necessary for me because I was very thin, but upon starting the lexapro I put on about 20lbs. in about 6 weeks. So needless to say, I am now off the lexapro. I've taken a few pounds off but I'm wondering if my body will ever go back to the way it was and the metabolism that I once had. I would much rather have to eat more (healthier foods of course) to put weight on and keep it on then to have to resort to counting points on weight watchers every day and feeling miserable about myself and the way I look. The minute I eat my stomach looks bloated. My 5 year old keeps asking me if I'm having another baby. I am still relatively thin but the stomach thing is driving me crazy and my body just isn't behaving like it did only a few months ago. Will it return to normal?????
Thanks for any input!,
Nicole

Hi Nicole,
I'm not on Lexapro but I was on Ativan for anxiety and it has caused me to gain weight quickly as well. I stopped taking it about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I have already dropped 10 lbs. I don't know exactly what you are going through but I will be praying for you. Good luck!
Tiffany
