I am going to see a physician for my back on the 3rd. I work in a fast paced environment and cannot afford to be doped up since im working and going to school at the same time. I had a problem with painkillers before using them to get to sleep. I am seeing my sisters doctor, he hands out perscriptions of vicodin to people and i want something that will be a low dose just enough for the pain and not to dope me up. any suggestions?

I don't know if this is too late, but you could ask for a low dose, like 2.5/500mg of lortab, that's what my doctor prescribed me because he's "not a big fan of vicodin". Anyway, hope you got some relief for your back pain.

You might want to consider Percocets 5/325. It's actually 5mg of Oxycodone and 325mg of Acetominophen (Tylenol). They don't dope you up and they don't make you sleepy. It's a little stronger than Vicodins and in a different drug class Schedule. They work. Hope everything works out alright for you. Take care.
