Ultravist Side Effects: Help needed

Dear All,

I write because I did an MRI in anticipation of a hip operation last week and to this end a drug calle "Ultravist" was injected into my hip.

Unfortunately, the day after the injection I has extreme pain in my forearm, fingers and shoulders, followed over increasing swelling of the whole arm and fingers to a point that I cannot even remove my rings. I still have swelled arms and fingers and extreme pain in my arms at the moment.

I know that some people have experienced such a side effect with Ultravist and wanted to know whether one of you could give me an advice of a drug I should take in order to overcome or diminish these sied effects ?

I already contacted the practitioner that injected Ultravist into me, but it looks like he was unaware of this side effect and as a consequence could not help me !

I thank you very much for your much appreciated help since this is extremely painful right now.

Btw, I am a 53 years old woman.

I'd get in touch with your DR, they would probably want to check out the side effect you're having and give you some remedy. When I had mine done I had to sign a waiver that had a page plus of potential side effects from the MRI and the injection.
