Default Ultram and Wellbutrin interaction

So, I took my usual Wellbutrin SR (150mg) at eight p.m. tonight, because I forgot it in the morning. I've been taking it for four months so the insomnia isn't a side effect for me anymore. At about one a.m. my back pain was preventing me from sleeping so I got up and took 150mg of Ultram (tramadol). A friend gave me the tramadol, and so I was foolishly unaware of any interation. I went from sleepy to on the verge of seizure in moments. Dry mouth, tremors, throat closing up, very scary. Anyone know the long term ramifications of this, as far as effect on the liver etc? The tremors have almost stopped, so I decided not to go to the hospital, but I'm still scared to fall asleep!

In a case like that, you could always call poison control or the hospital to find out about taking those two drugs together and they would adivse you what to do. I hope you are doing better now and I am sure I don't have to tell you, no one should ever take a medicine that wasn't prescribed to them by their doctor. Your story is a perfect example of what can happen.
