I was recently on darvocet for fibromyalgia (it did NOTHING) and my doctor prescribed me ultracet today. I just wondered if anyone knew how well the ultracet would work compared to the darvocet...like strength wise I guess is what I am asking. Is Ultracet as strong as the darvocet?

the only difference is one is a narcotic and ultracet is not. whether it is stronger Im not too sure cuz i found out that i was allergic to ultracet. but i do know that it can be just as addictive as a narcotic med. Sorry I dont know more about it. I hope this helps.

Manda, you should read this about Darvocet, it's real interesting, BTW you'll see the FDA says it's less effective the Tylenol.

In my opinion, neither are a very good pain killer, ask your doctor for some Vicodin.
