Tamara,
I just got out of 30 day treatment for Ultram addiction, so don't believe anyone who says that Ultram or its siblings are not addictive. Technically, it's not an opiate, but an opiod or synthetic opiate. The withdrawals are quite bad. I always managed my withdrawals with Neurontin/Gabapentin, not that I am by any means suggesting this. I would suggest detox at a medical facility. The detox protocol for tramadol is the same as heroin, so I've heard. Typically, my wd's would kick in about 24 hours after my last usage, and continue on for about 3-4 days after that, with the 3rd day being the worst. I've also found that when I was religiously taking my anti-depressant, my wd's wouldn't be as bad.

If she's only been on them for 6 months, she needs to get off of them now instead of later. It's like anything else, the longer you wait the worse it is. If I can help you with anything else, just let me know.
